Police Search For Driver AFter Chase In Federal Way
20-year old arrested, accused of pointing rifle at state trooper

July 24, 2008, 4:35 AM PDT

One man is in custody and another is still on the loose after pointing a rifle at a trooper.

Authorities say the 20 year old they arrested was driving in Federal Way when a trooper tried to pull him over for not having his headlights on.

Troopers say he did not stop and switched seats with a 17 year old passenger, turned around, and pointed a rifle at the officer.

The trooper crashed and the suspects got away.

Investigators later found the car, rifle, and clothes that were connected to the suspect's by DNA.

The 20-year old has not been charged, yet.

The second, 17-year old driver has not been found.
